SCHOOL PLAY

 

TRYOUTS TODAY!

I recited a poem.

I sang a song too.

Hope that was enough

to show what I can do…

 

I’M IN A PLAY!

We memorize lines

If we miss one or two,

we count on our friends

to prompt with a cue.

We learn some dance steps

1-2-3, twirl.

We all paint the sets.

(They’re out of this world!)

 

THE BIG DAY!

We stand on our marks.

Stage fright is gone.

The theater’s dark.

The spotlight is ON.

Just as we rehearsed,

we perform our routines.

No one forgets

a line, step, or scene.
